ODDKO’S FIRST AND UNRELEASED MUSIC VIDEO
+
ODDKO is the animal within – the wild beast longing to break free of society’s cage. We remember being driven by instinct. We remember the razor’s edge of our teeth. ODDKO is the animal lying dormant within. The beast is waking.

A music project created by musician and award-winning video director Giovanni Bucci (www.giovannibucci.com) , ODDKO is the fruit of Gio’s eclectic tastes, his talents, and his desire to make a vibrant new multifaceted work of art.

Gio has always been a rebel at heart. Rather than stay on the beaten path stylistically and musically, Gio has blazed his own trail to seamlessly integrate startling visuals and dynamic new sound. His background is multicultural; spending his life across four countries (Italy, Netherlands, UK and USA) has deeply influenced his approach to music and art.

He’s directed two award-winning videos for Korn. His client list as motion designer includes: Jane’s Addiction, Andrea Bocelli, and Lindsey Sterling. He’s done notable work as a motion designer for film titles such as Star Trek, RoboCop and Pacific Rim. His services have also been commissioned for high profile brands like Red Bull, MTV, Warner Bros, and Netflix among others.
To produce ODDKO’s visual content, Gio partnered with Paola Rocchetti. Together they’ve built the production company Void and Disorder (www.voidanddisorder.com): a multi-platform business designed to express their creativity through video, music, and fashion.

The first album Escape the Maze consists of 13 tracks. The album’s influences range from metal, to classical, to electronic and cinematic sounds, all blended together.
Giovanni composed the tracks by recording guitars, bass, electronics, programming drums, writing lyrics, and singing. Next, he collaborated with some amazing musicians to arrange and re-record the final songs in studio.

For the drums, he collaborated with Francesco Paoli from Fleshgod Apocalypse, one of the best metal drummers on the scene. For additional vocals, Veronika Coassolo (Tricky, Subsonica) lent her voice and contributed some lyrics. Giacomo Castellano (Vasco Rossi, Piero Pelù) worked on some arrangements. Bass was performed and arranged by Dave Tavanti (Kpanic).
Production and recording of cellos, violins, drums, bass, guitar and various arrangements were orchestrated by Daniele Marinelli. The final magic touches were made in Los Angeles with the help of producer/sound engineer Rob Romano.

ODDKO has been in conception since 2011. It is the growling animal within, straining to be unleashed.
